Stanley R. Watson
Attorney at Law
Stanley R. Watson is an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma, with more than four decades of experience serving individuals, families, businesses, and governmental entities. A native of Quanah, he was raised on a farm and ranch in northwestern Hardeman County. That upbringing still shapes the practical, common‑sense approach he brings to the practice of law.
He graduated from Quanah High School and Texas Tech University before earning his law degree at Southern Methodist University, where he received a Juris Doctor in 1979 and a Master of Laws in 1983.
Since January 1, 1981, he has served as the elected County Attorney of Hardeman County, and today practices across the state and federal courts of Texas and Oklahoma. He is also a credentialed mediator for the State of Texas and a licensed escrow officer for Digital Abstract and Title.
A general practitioner, he weighs the outcomes, risks, and benefits before pursuing litigation. When a matter calls for it, he advocates vigorously on his clients’ behalf.
